Small Groups

What do small groups look like at Freedom? Great question. In simple terms, it’s our avenue to doing life with others. We are called to not only share the great news of Jesus, but our lives as well. Small Groups do just that. You take your everyday, ordinary life and mix a little intentionality into it, you have ministry!

What do you love to do? What do you have a passion for? Can you spend hours delving into the Scriptures? Have you and your spouse been happily married for years and you’ve really figured out what it takes to be happy? Have you raised exceptional kids? Do you know how to manage your budget well? Do you enjoy gourmet cooking or perhaps a game of hoops? Think about your life passion—that hobby or interest that you love to pursue in your spare time, the skill that you have mastered, and the life goal that you want to reach. Most likely those very things are your strengths–the things God has placed in your life through which you can lead and serve others.

The fact is that we are all interested in something. Some are trying to work on their marriage while others are taking a stab at a new hobby. Others love to read a book and process it with others while another group may pray for a missionary. Whatever your interest is, the key is to do it with others who share that interest. We have found that common interests are a great way to win our families and friends to Jesus. Small Groups are based on common interests, passions, hobbies, recreational activities and serving positions. In fact, these groups are led by people just like you. These groups are the place for people to be empowered for ministry through strong, healthy relationships.

Let’s face it, healthy, warm, long-term relationships make life work well. Being part of a network of good friends provides us with strength, confidence, and joy. Nothing else short of faith in Jesus gives us such incredible, life-altering blessings as being deeply and positively connected with other people.

Small Groups at Freedom Church help people find that strength, confidence, and joy. We believe that in the years to come we will hear countless stories about how joining a Small Group changed a life, restored a marriage, saved a child, or prospered a business. The bottom line is that those who connect in Small Groups experience incredible growth. We pray you find a Small Group to jump into this semester and begin living life connected to others.
